Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Prepare, sell, and deliver strategic account plans with strategic brands or groups for the entire range of all products and services available based on a thorough understanding of their needs and their ecosystem
  • Be responsible for providing business leadership and developing strong internal relationships in order to ensure the best business solutions and support of the strategic accounts - including operational excellence (S&OP)
  • Prepare strategic account plans based on strategic account methodology:
    - Account identification: map roadbook and look for potential growth or risk (ID full potential)
    - Develop strong knowledge of account
    - Build full analysis and define key initiatives (relational & business)
    - Define vision and action plan
    - Guarantee internal resources to deliver plan
  • Sell strategic account plans:
    - Own the delivery of the value proposal
    - Negotiations of conditions (prices, payment, service) at director level
    - Proactively assess, clarify and validate account needs on an ongoing basis
  • Deliver strategic account plans:
    - Guarantee execution of plan: roll out quarterly action plans together with the collaboration of all VP internal teams (Sales, marketing, production, finance, supply chain)
    - Ensure delivery excellence by coordinating with the concerned VP services in order to meet the account’s performance objectives and client expectations
    - Measure performance and iterate
  • On each step (preparation, sell, delivery), keep an international vision on account management and strategy

Job Criteria Strategic Key Account Manager

  • At least 6 to 8 years of experience in sales or buying roles with growing complexity in terms of stakes, scope and generated turnover
  • Experience in complex deal negotiations at senior level with a successful track record
  • Experience in or good understanding of how to build and sell long term strategic and innovative plans
  • Ability to master all products and services and to act as a trusted advisor both for our strategic accounts and the teams by establishing quick credibility with senior level executives
  • Very good level of spoken and written Dutch and English, with the possibility to make high level presentations both in Dutch and English
