For this interesting company we are looking for a (New) Business Development Manager who will set up a new business within an existing division. This business focuses on the commercial development of small, growing brands and existing A-brands in new regions. The company has a worldwide network where they sell premium brands to various channels. Your challenge is to put smaller brands next to this. Think of Private Label brands or other New Brands. In addition, in collaboration with the largest FMCG companies (e.g. Unilever, Reckitt), you will sell and distribute existing A-brands in countries where the A-brand can gain market share. It is a new role within an existing team as well as within the organization that you will further shape. You have experience within Sales or as a Buyer, preferably within the FMCG/Personal & Home care segment and you are ready to determine the vision and strategy yourself. Of course you are aware of and respond to trends. You regularly visit (international) suppliers and/or customers with whom you build strong relationships! You will work in a very fast growing company within an ambitious division. The division consists of approximately 30 colleagues and can best be described as enterprising, energetic and open. On a daily basis you interact a lot with the Sales team, the Division Leader and external stakeholders.
This is what your day looks like:
- Analyzing trends in consumer behavior and responding to them
- Advising on interesting products and drawing up KPIs
- New Product Launch Plans
- Category Management projects
- Devise, execute or outsource marketing strategy where necessary
- Sourcing and actively approaching new international brands
- Negotiate prices, payments and delivery terms
- Maintain contact with various internal and external stakeholders
- Drafting and monitoring work processes and methods
- Develop strategy to make New Brands big within P&H Division
You report directly to the Division Leader.

This is you!
- Completed commercial education at a minimum HBO level
- At least 3-6 years of relevant work experience in product management, business development and/or Category (Sales)Management with a commercial responsibility
- You are a real networker, you can also use your network (FMCG/Personal & Home care) to generate new business
- Your personality can be described as result-oriented, enterprising, a good and substantive discussion partner and knows how to convince and activate others
- You are fluent in the Dutch and English language, if you speak another language that would be a big plus!
- You are aware of competitive markets, know what is happening in the market and respond to the customer needs.
